Default Too scared to DTD in case of getting pregnant...

So DH had the snip about 2 m ago and we need to do it about 15 times to get retested. When I got pregnant with DSS it was either while using condoms OR after withdrawal (him) AND the morning after pill as a backup ( me). I am very fertile falling pregnant first month with both first 2. DS we only did it once all month. Anyway. I am just to scared to do it! I just could not deal with another unplanned pregnancy. And I've heard so many stories of people getting pregnant after having the snip. I'm thinking of getting my tubes tied as well. Anyone else been in this situation?

Can you time it so its not around ovulation? And wear a condom? Will significantly decrease chances of getting pregnant.

Condoms when used correctly are like 99.9% effective. WHy not get so cheap ovulation tests from eBay just to be sure?

I've still not got AF back from having DES which is even better I guess but condoms or other...I don't trust anything! I've been encouraging the DIY route ( pardon the pun ) . We barely do it anyway but even less at the moment because of this! The ovulation tests are a good idea just for piece of mind....

Get him to help himself 20 odd times and you should be good to go!

When I had my snip done I had a test every 4 to 6 weeks to determine when it was "safe". My GP gave me a pathology referral and after my 3rd test I got my all "clear". It was around the 3 month mark.

My test at 2 months was not 100% clear so didn't take the chance. 15 times is just a guide and you can still be fertile after 40 times but just with a very low count. The more times just decreases the chances of a little surprise.

You don't have to take a chance when the test is pretty straight forward. DIY (at home) into a sterile cup and hand over the sample to pathology. The test wasn't expensive from what I remember.
