No3Please, how are you and you DH going? I have been thinking about you both. So sorry about the situation, however hopefully the bloods next month come back good. FX

KellyMac, I'm so sorry about your news. I hope this cycle is the one for you! It might be a nice New Year surprise Keep positive hun. We are all here for you.

AFM, I got my blood results from yesterday. My HCG has risen from 294 to 6680 in one week. Very happy with those results! However, my progesterone has dropped though from 200 to 180. I'm a little concerned about this drop. Does any one know much about the fluctuation of progesterone during pregnancy? Any information would help! Thanks ladies xx

Thanks Nini. It's ok though, this would've been a surprise for us. We weren't planning on trying for another year or so but this has made us realise we want to try sooner! It definitely wasn't on our radar as I'm on bp meds at the moment that aren't safe for pregnancy! So I was a little worried too. Anyway my appointment went well and my doc ordered all the usual tests but I definitely mustn't get pregnant before I see my renal physician in January and talk about changing over my tablets. So we are thinking February we will actively try! Emily will be 18 months.

That's great about your levels Nini. Sorry I can't offer any advice about progesterone for you.

Nini congratulations!! Having gone through IVF I learnt a lot (maybe too much!) but fluctuations in progesterone can happen and is normal - as long as its above 30 then any doc/specialist is happy! However if you're concerned you can get progesterone support through crinone gel or pessaries - maybe ask your GP/FS/OB about it but with your levels I'd say you're fine. What's your EDD?

Thank you for your responses girls. You've made me feel a lot better.

Jb2011, I am taking progesterone pessaries (100mg nightly). However I forgot to insert one last night and I'm fretting about it. I inserted the missed dose at about 8:30am this morning and continued to lay down for an hour after that, but I'm scared that missing one at the usual time (10:30pm) may have sent my body into a sudden progesterone drop, which can potentially cause a miscarriage? I have suffered a miscarriage previously so I am soooo anxious about this pregnancy. Do you have any knowledge in regards to this?

Nini don't stress too much I'm sure it'll be fine. Maybe just have an extra one during the day today? I'm on 3x400 pessaries so 1200 day! So you can never have to much (another lady on here is having 6 a day!) can you ask if you can do 1 morning & 1 night so 200 a day?

Hopefully that's a good sign then KellyMac xx

Still haven't heard from my doctor but when I do, I will ask him about having another blood test to check progesterone and hog again and also about increasing progesterone pessaries.

    Thanks girls x
