    Hi! Can I join?
I was diagnosed with PCOS in 2011 when I didn't get a period for 2 months but a BFN. But we weren't really ready for a baby then so I was off the medicines once my cycle normalized and I lost some weight.
Pcos resurfaced a few months earlier while we started TTC our first baby and so I'm currently on Metformin and a couple of supplements - VitD, Folic, B12 etc.
The battle with the bulge has been an ongoing one.. I'm about 8-10 Kgs overweight and it still is very hard to shed them. I'm also usually a 29 day cycle but since the last 2 cycles it's changed to 37 with ovulation around cd23. Odd as being on Metformin should be regulating this right? Currently I'm cd33, I think 9/10 dpo and waiting until AF is due to test.
Sorry for such a long post.
It makes me happy and gives me hope seeing all you lovely ladies ..some of you who have got their BFPs. I hope to be a success story too.
What else do you do to manage pcos?

Hi cuky, unfortunately metformin won't help you ovulate it's all about your sugar levels. I really changed my diet with fresh veg and meat and changed the bread I was eating and that dropped 8kgs off over 3 months. I have hit the wall after that and now exercise 4 days a week.

Everyone is different though so find what works for you

Thanks miss_petepie, I was under the impression that Metformin would regulate my cycles .
Af still shows up naturally so I'm assuming that I do ovulate although pretty late which is why my cycles are now turning longer. I agree with changing the diet and exercising.
I've lost about 8 kgs too, 8 more to go and wishing for a sticky bfp and I'll be a happy woman!
