@twentysomething I was put on metformin straight away. Unfortunately most GPs won't do anything until you've been trying for over a year. I agree with the above comment, find a new GP and lie.

Provera simply starts a new cycle. You use it if you don't get AF on your own or have long cycles.

Thanks guys, as I am kinda of ok if it takes year to conceive I think I might be ready by then, I am just worried that we would be trying for a year and still might take another year after that as well of fertility treatment. As you said one cycle every 6 months does not make a baby I think I will wait till I have been off the pill for 6months and still nothing I might go to a another gp....

Default TTC No 1 with PCOS chat #6

Hi twentysomething I remember how you feel... I went off the pill in July 2012 and by October I hadn't got my period I had read it can take awhile so thought not to much of it but then went to the GP & she referred my to get an ultrasound done and that's when I found out I had PCOS I went straight to an FS and he did tests on DH and found out he had issues too.

So maybe if your DH is up for it get him tested and if all ok then keep trying naturally but if not you know what you're dealing with and can proceed with the next step!

    I now have 13mth old twins 💗💗

Happy to chat more if you want, feel free to PM me.

Hey B, do you have any ultrasound pics of your bubs at around 8-9w? I'm going for my scan on Thursday and I'm too curious to wait lol
