We will be down south with mine and DP's family for our first combined Xmas...I'm hoping my MS doesn't ramp up too much otherwise I'm going to be a dead giveaway and hopefully no-one notices that I won't be eating prawns! I also have a wedding cake to make boxing day so that isn't too painful.

Can someone remind me how SMEP works again?

Thinking if trying it as DH often doesn't produce much if we BD day after day and I need to get him in the mood in those days anyway and from memory someone mentioned SMEP was a lot if every second day more than every day BD near O.

I'm just trying to work out our best chance at conceiving for next cycle.

This cycle just gone was 33 days and I had a 14 day LP and used OPKs

I've started vitex again today to try and shorten my cycle. I'm CD 1

Someone can correct me, but I think its bd every 2nd day until you get a positive opk, bd 3 days, 1 day rest, bd again for good luck just incase.

I think most people start cd8 for a regular 28 day cycle/cd14 ovulation.

Maybe googling it might word it clearer than me... but I know you ovulate after a positive opk, not at the same time as it (hence bding after?) I think thats how it works...

Yes this. I did it last cycle to no luck but I think it's smart planning.

Yep, start bd every 2nd day on cd8 then start OPK on cd 10, continue to bd every 2nd day till pos OPK then bd three days straight, skip a day and then bd once more for luck. Test 15 days after the pos OPK (if you make it that far!)

Haha, I said I'd wait til 15 DPO this cycle, I got as far as 8 DPO!

Hmmm the three days in a row is the hard part.

It's also the once more for luck that makes me wonder is its overkill. If I get a pos OPK say tonight, I'm going to O within 2 days, so the three in a row makes it tonight, Friday, Saturday, but o would be no later than Saturday, so Monday would be past O so why bother? Does it mean perhaps the OPKs aren't accurate?

Also don't sperm need 2 days to replenish?

Sorry ladies, I'm being a real negative nancy. I'm still tired and nauseous and sore boobs, finding it hard to believe I'm actually not UTD and thinking of the next cycle seems like too much hard work, it's the end of the year and I'm tired.

Me 31, He 34, DD 21 months, waiting for just 1 more to complete our family.
