Both the speech therapist and paediatrician felt it wasn't an ASD, but it hasn't been ruled out completely. The idea is that we address the speech and see what remains (if anything) when that's better under control.

He really doesn't seem to fit the diagnostic criteria for an ASD, especially once you take into account the impact the language disorder has on things like his social skills and ability to deal with disappointment, conflict etc.
