Ngaiz whens your growth scan? I hope all is good and its just a small baby your carrying, i have always been about 4-5 days behind in all my scans since 12wks so im interested to find out what size he will measure today.

Amps hope everything is ok and they are getting plenty of fluids back into you.

Jay11 a friend was on about circumcision at the weekend its never crossed my mind before or to do it if we had a boy, something to consider, im just scared it will hurt him but apparently its not painful is it in babies.

Ainsleyp I am 19wks 1 day today i still have not felt any movement really, had few moments when i felt some tiny strange movement for a few seconds but that is it, i cant wait to start feeling movement all the time to be reassured

Until it was mentioned on here I never thought of using MCN's but just been reading up about them and I am starting to lean towards using these there not like the old terry toweling ones which i was imagining...environmentally friendly plus cost effective. who's looking at using these? ladies who have already got children have you used these before and what are your thoughts on them? would be very interested to find out.

Ngaiz- I hope the growth scan gives you some answers and that bubs is perfectly fine.

Jay- don't know anything about circumcision. I don't know anyone who have had their sons circumcised. Not something we would consider unless there was a medical reason.

KJ- I was wondering about mcn too. If anyone can shed some light on them it would be great.

Amps- sorry to hear you are back in hospital. Hope you can be back home soon. X

I have been looking at MCN "Hippybottomus". I have a friend who has used them for her newborn and she loves them. She got a starter pack of 24 MCN and says she washes every 3rd day. I plan to get these and only use disposals when on holidays.

All the best for your morph scan today KJ. How exciting.

Sorry can't help you with the circumcision question Jay.

Hope you are feeling better Amps and are out of hospital.

Sorry your in hospital AMPS and shared room not nice!

On MCNs my neighbour used for both at first now just disposables but loved them at first other then the washing and smell as the sit marinating in the bucket. She did use disposable at night as found the kids slept better as the were dryer. Also disposables are better if your going out as you can throw rather then carrying around for rest of day.

ABH - I couldn't get my ticker working either to begin with you use the one that you wouldn't think to use the second one.

Jay11 - I was wondering about the smell when out and about due to having to carry them around

Afternoon all... working from home today while our wardrobes get installed. Will be nice to finally have somewhere to store things!

AMPS - Sorry to hear you are back in hospital again. Hopefully it's a short stay for you.

We are using MCN too. I have a birth to potty pack of Bambino Mio, a few itti's, and a few others to try including grovia and bumgenius. I used them for a while with DD and loved Bumgenius, but have never done MCN with a newbie! Can't wait to get them all out of storage and wash them. Make sure if you go MCN's you do a good few strip washes before use to make them as absorbant as possible.

Ngaiz - hope the growth scan puts your mind and ease.

KJ - Good luck with your scan too.

Arlais - good to hear you are feeling better. I have my GTT tomorrow afternoon but thankfully it's the non-fasting version.

Jay - 42 degrees... I don't envy you at all!

Can't wait to get started on our nursery, it's one of the next things on the list to be reno'd so that I can start organising it. We have so much baby stuff in storage and can't wait to have it in our new little home.

This is what it looks like at the moment. nursery.jpg

I feel like I am getting bigger by the day.... this is the only bump pic I have on the computer from a few weeks ago.... 24 weeks.jpg

    Hope everyone else is well!

KJ I think your best to use both personally but DH said he doesn't want the hassle or nappy bucket so were going disposables
