    Offer to put together their post trip photo album on something like Blurb.
    I've travelled loads and never get around to getting my digital pics actually printed.
    Following our 6 month world trip DH gave me an album..,4 years later,

    Kate Hill does some really nice leather passport holders (come in black too, so not overly feminine) and/or document holders. I think you can buy online. Otherwise Typo have them too.

    A nice bath sheet, (if they'll be doing their own washing etc).

    Leather travel bag/toiletry bag

    Carry on luggage bag

    Luggage straps/ decent locks and tags (can buy online from Myer etc).

    Victorinox Swiss Army knife

    Maglite Torch/Led torch

    Good travel socks

    Good books/magazines to read on the plane or the Airports
