Default Gifts for someone travelling Europe?

My brother an his gf are going to spend 3 months travelling Europe next year. I have drawn my bro in our family Kris Kringle, and so was thinking of giving him something he can use while O/S.
otherwise they are a DINK couple and can buy whatever they want, really.
Our limit is $50- please hit me with some good ideas- I'm about to leave to go to a bigger town for Christmas shopping today

And where would I get something like that from? I've never been in a position to travel so I have no clue!

From strandbags or Victoria station or the likes .

Could also get him an adapter? You can buy ones that have 2x continents on them plus usb port - as Europe is 2x connectors it might be an idea! (UK one, rest of Eu is different)

A luggage strap (like a belt for your luggage, good way to identify it and helps when you just cbf packing it neatly lol)

Also just some £, do you know what airport they're going through? I.e. if going through Singapore you could get some Singaporean $$ too? (S$30 did us for food etc)

A small travel backpack for the plane. Nice passport holder. A travel journal/diary. A good quality drink bottle from an outdoorsy shop. One of those travel towels - that are small & scrunch up into a tiny ball in your pack (I think also from an outdoorsy shop). An inflatable pillow. Some decent locks for their luggage....

I'd be inclined to go to ray's outdoors or one of those sorts of shops & see what they have....

The adapter idea is a good one too, if they're taking a phone/iPad whatever they'll need a universal adaptor so they can charge it....
