    This reminds me if a sad incident I witnessed on the way to work one day. A little girl was doing her reader to her mum then asked her mum if they could buy some breakfeast but she would pay her back (the little girl to her mum). The mum said she felt a bit hungry and the girl kept insisting she would pay her back but the mum told her to keep her money. Felt so sad for the both of them. Also for the embarrassment the mum would've felt

    Yes, I know I am a librarian in a public library there are lots and lots and LOTS of people who are intimidated by the library, or think they are not welcome, or dot know how it works. It's a whole big thing. Whole conferences are devoted to how we can service these people better. There are very real and valid blocks to people accessing public library services.
