Default Hand, Foot & Mouth. Twice?

Is it possible to get HFM again?

DS had it when he was three or four years old. He is now five and it looks like he might have it again now, same little spots on his hands and feet, none anywhere else at the moment. It wasn't particularly pleasant the first time he had it (he gave it to me too) and I'm really hoping that he doesn't have it again now. What is the likelihood?

When DS got it at 2 the GP said there were 3-4 different strains of it.
