Default How to get funding and are we eligible?

3.5yo DD just finished having her string of diagnostic assessments, we now have a formal 7 page assessment outlining what traits & qualities DD presents with.

DDs Psyc has given her a .'tentative diagnosis for an autism spectrum disorder' how ever she feels this can/will change. While DD does present with numerous ASD traits, she also has other traits (like imaginary play) she wouldnt have with ASD.

Dd also scores on the clinical percentile for ADHD, ODD, and another syndrome I haven't heard off.. Basically the only box she didn't tick was depression, anxiety and OCD.

We had a action plan of on going therapies that will happen in the next 12 months, and the psyc is going to reassess in 12 months time & hopefully we will have a clearer picture.

Her psyc said DD might be 'eligible' for funding to help pay for the therapies, does anyone know what this is and how to apply? I forgot to ask, was a lot to take in that day.

Ds has just been diagnosed recently and I believe the funding you're referring to is HCWA- Helping children with autism.

When I seen the paed he sent me out an info pack and it had the contact details there.

Honestly though I just googled 'HCWA' and loads of results came up.

I'm not sure if you'd be eligible though, i'm still knew to all this!

My psych submitted all the paper work and organised the funding.
Has your psych not mentioned doing the same?

You could call aspect and ask for advice.
I got Facshia(?) Funding whereas now the hunter area has the NDIS, so maybe the process is different?.
