LParis, why would you not go to the wedding in Thailand if you got a positive? I am off to Africa for 5 weeks, got the all clear from the OB yesterday.

Afm, got to see the little bubba dancing around like crazy at yesterday's scan, measuring 9 weeks 6 days and was given the all clear that miscarriage from this point is highly unlikely. This has been the longest wait to hear someone say that!

Good luck for the remaining blood tests, let's hope we see some more of you over the IVF July/aug/sept due date thread soon x

Hi SoReady! That's wonderful news to hear your beautiful bubba is growing healthy and strong! We didn't think it was safe to fly in the first trimester, and we thought cos I'd have to get shots as well. Oh wow that's cool to know that we could still go either way. The other reason is hubby started a new job a couple of months ago, so he doesn't want really take leave just yet if we were to get pregnant cos he would ideally want to build it up for later.

LParis, Yes flying is safe, if you need shots this might be a different story. I had all of mine done before we started our cycle so were in the clear. I am taking aquatabs to sterilise the water, and have been given the all clear to take the malaria tablets I need. All medications are given a grading for pregnancy so you just need to check. I guess the other thing to consider I show far along you will be and how you feel about foreign hospitals should anything happen.

Thanks SoReady! I didn't know about the aquatabs. Where did you get them from? Oh I wish we had thought about getting shots before we did the transfer. Going to Thailand for the wedding was kind of a last minute decision, a last minute backup plan, so there would be something to look forward to either way. We did go to Borneo early last year and we got a whole heap of shots then, I did remember the do saying that for some of the shots we would be covered a year, if not two. I hope they are the shots we need for Thailand are the same. Will have to see The GP to double check.
