Also, I only use ic's for opks definitely. Can get them so cheap off eBay and never had a single issue.

I will probably only use 4-5 opks this cycle! I'm ovulating early!

Its so confusing! But once I figure it out, ttc should be so much easier!

Hi Strega, I think the OPK's behave differently for everyone. It might be worth getting a whole bunch of IC's and testing once or twice a day for a whole cycle to see what your body normally does? I have 2 lines basically all cycle (test line fairly feint though) and have a true positive for only about 12hrs. I have pcos and was also taking clomid so I'm not sure if that has affected my results?

I have faint barely visible lines all cycle, then usually over 2-3 days it gets darker, stays positive for 24 ish hours then fades out again.

My best tips I've picked up from reading on here and elsewhere....

Fmu is not generally advised as the lh builds up during the day. Test from 10am onwards. I get the best result around 7pm. Do I don't bother until after lunch.

Try going to the loo, then limit fluid intake for a couple of hours, pee into a plastic cup. I use cheap throw aways.
