    Default Personal Space!

So i just went to the shop to get the ingredients for some yummy puff pastry rolls and was standing in line waiting to put everything through. This woman came up and stood behind me.

RIGHT behind me, when i looked down the fronts of her shoes were about 3 cms away from the back of mine. She was almost touching me.

I took a step forward, so did she. I took another step forward - so did she!!

I politely asked her if she could please give me a little bit of space and she just looked at me and ignored me!

I thought maybe she didnt understand me so i left it but then her phone rang and she answered it and started talking.

So i took a step forward... AND SO DID SHE!!!

Talk about getting that creepy feeling.

I then went to buy smokes and was waiting for the person infront of me to finish... AND SHE PUSHED IN FRONT OF ME

    I walked away.

I really hate that. There's a girl at work who does that when I'm talking to her & it makes me really uncomfortable. Lol Joeee, I'll have to try that.

    Haha! Love it.

Hearstringz, that actually reminded me of a girl who worked in the same place as me like 15 years ago. She used to do it too, drove everyone nuts. She got too close to another co worker once and the co worker lifted her hand and tucked a bit of hair behind her ear.

The look of pure shock was so funny and she never stood really close to anyone again!

I hate my personal space being invaded like that!!!

I would have perhaps moved my elbow or foot back subtly but enough to just touch the person, then act surprised and say "oh gee sorry, you're right on top of me and I didn't realise".

I think i was just so surprised that even after i asked her to back up she just ignored me! If someone told me i was standing too close i would be so embarrassed!

    Yes definitely annoying.
I had a women stand directly in front of me at a train station (there was probably 15cm between where my feet ended and hers started) even though there was lots of room elsewhere.

I wasn't standing near the edge of the platform either so it wasn't as though she was trying to get first in the train or anything.

It really annoys me, to no damn end. It actually makes me feel really uneasy.

If I have DD with me I play around with her and twirl around with her etc, if not I stand on my side. I purposefully don't move closer if the person in front of me moves up, trying to clue the person behind me 'OI! See the gap I'm giving the person in front, how about the same decency!!'

Oooh another thing to do is grab your handbag real close & turn around and look them in the eye, they usually think you think they're going to steal from you. Works every time
