    I will be suggesting both at the planning meeting with my mum and mil on Friday. I made trifle last year and it was a hit, I set the jelly first before adding the cake. Might add nuts for a bit of a twist this year

    Agree, it's a gross piling of mismatched ingredients. Yuck.

    I would go one nice sickening one and choose something else not so sickening like maybe a fruit salad and cream?
