Default Ways to bring on labour

I'm 38 weeks pregnant and really hoping to bring on labour soon (whilst I know bub will arrive once ready) I am interested to hear other people's stories of what they did and if it worked?

    so please share your stories

I wish there was a sure fire way! I'm 39wks 3days and have been trying everything! I don't think anything actually "works" obviously raspberry leaf tea and evening primrose oil will help reduce labour length. I've had acupuncture, am doing accupressure, taken raspberry tea leaf since beginning of 3rd trimester and evening primrose since 36 weeks plus nipple stimulation and daily expressing from 37 weeks, lots of sex, walking, bouncing on the ball, walking up and down stairs sideways. I've had 3 separate nights of lengthy intense "Braxton hicks" and tbh those where after doing bare minimal intervention that day! Good luck OP and if you find something please share!

Star jumps and lunges, but you have to do it every 5 min. Will only work if your body is ready

My 3rd baby was the only one who came on her due date...all the others came weeks early. So with #3 I'm putting her labour down to me eating a whole block of chocolate (an aphrodisiac ) and that night I almost had her on the hospital elevator floor!

I upped the walking within the week that DS was born. I also had hot Indian the night before I went into labour but I'm not convinced it's related lol.

I did it all - raspberry leaf tea, oil baths/massages, ate spicey food, acupuncture, acupressure, bounced on a fit ball, walking, sex -- you name every wives tale & I did it - & I was induced 10 days past my due date

I had a stretch and sweep 6 days before delivery which gave me irregular contractions. In the next few days I went on walks, did lots of cleaning, roamed the shopping centre doing last minute baby buys. I kept active the day before DD's birth, vacuumed, cleaned the shower, even went on a long grocery run at Woolworths and went into active labour about an hour after getting home (had been having irregular contractions the whole day). I did not lie flat on my back once from onset of labour (if I did lie down, it was on my left side with bedhead on an upright angle) but I mainly adopted active positions until 2nd stage and things happened relatively smoothly for me. Vacuum in the last 10 mins for low heart rate. Probably 15 hrs in total, only 5 and a half hours from getting to hospital. First bub. Best of luck!
