Default Family tax benifit and school aged kids

A friend of mine mentioned you have to work a certain amount of hours once your kids are kindy/school aged to continue to get the FTB.

    Is this right??

No. At least I don't think so as I've never heard that before.

FTB is until the child is older (16? maybe).

The only way I can think of losing FTB would be to earn over the threshold.

I dont think so, but the max rate of FTB part B decreases once your youngest child is 5.
