    Default Whats wrong with DD

DD is almost 5yo and for the last couple of months she has been quite sick on and off.
Its started about 6 weeks ago when she had a temp of almost 40 degrees and complained of a sore throat. She was up vomiting that night but was right at rain the next morning (just a bit tired). A couple of weeks later it happened again, sore throat, sore tummy, vomit and temp (up to 39 degrees). Same thing happened the following weekend and now (2 weeks later) its happened again. High temp, up last night vomiting (she couldnt even keep water down) and complaining of a sore throat and sore tummy.
Shes fine this morn, ate toast for breakfast. Apart from being tired shes fine.

Ive taken her to the doctors the last time it happened and she was put on antibiotics (though im not sure they helped, or it was just the cycle finishing again).

Is this tonsillitis?? My DH had his tonsils out when he was very young (5 yo i think).

    Any suggestions??

My niece had something similar to this. It was a parasite bug in her tummy.

hi, I would be asking for more tests to be done. Just one course of antibiotics could fix something simple, like a bout of tonsilitis, but I would be wanting more tests to rule out anything else. Maybe some blood tests or a visit to an ENT specialist. ? Good luck, Marie

    Salmonella?

I've had giardia and it gave me the runs rather than vomiting.

Same here. Bit of nausea but mainly the runs.

DD had this happen few weeks back, sore throat vomiting and really high temp at night. Took her to doctor she said that it wasn't tonsillitis though her throat was red and listen to her tummy then suggested she doesn't do antibiotics it was a bug.
