Oh Helen, Congratulations! Well Done! So happy to hear your twin news having followed your story over this last couple of years. Persistence and patience has really paid off and you are an inspiration to other women following you with similar issues.
As you know I have twins who are nearly one. They are divine little shining lights and I cannot remember life without them. The first 12 weeks will be a challenge as you and your partner will be getting the hang of all this parenting two newborns at once biz, but believe me, it just gets better and better.
My lads are very close to walking and they are soaking up information like little sponges. I hear them practicing their few words in the early morning in their cots and although I cherish sleep, I love listening to their sweet voices more.
As a precautionary measure we saw an ob who specialised in multiples and high risk pregnancies and although we didn't have any problems at all, it was reassuring to know he was there should I need him. Soo much to take in, but if you have any questions at all PM me and I would be happy to share any tips I've picked up.
    Soooo happy for you xxxWJ

Congratulations helenmac, all that hard work leaving no stone unturned has paid off! Look after yourself as carrying twins is harder on your body then a singleton.

AFM. My twins (boy/girl) are now 15 months old and running around creating havoc but they are a joy to DH and myself and we feel so lucky to have them. As wilson joy said, the 1st 12 weeks are a challenge. You'd wonder what you've gotten yourself into but things do get better. Other twin mums say it improves as they get older.

To all the other ladies on their ED journey, keep trying as your time will come.

    Hi all,
Just jumping in here to get some advice on the donor egg programme in Sth Africa. My FS - Joel Bernstein briefly mentioned it - I think his wife organises this side of things. Anyway, before I go back to work out what my options are, whether it be another round of IVF or going down the donor path, I wanted to get an idea on costs from those of you that have gone through it. I'm 45, so time is going by with lightening speed and eggs are going with it!
    Would appreciate some honest feedback.
    Hope you are all well.

Hi there KLM all up inc. Ive budgeted for 16k inc. Flights and hotels, meds, treatment etc. (you could do it cheaper with more budget hotels etc) The cycle itself and donor fees are about 9k AUD of that.
