Exactly...if you're doing the speed limit you shouldn't have anything to worry about hidden or not.

In WA the fixed cameras are not really hidden at all. There is one on the Kwinana Fwy heading south just near the esplanade hotel and also on the South St on ramp when heading north on Roe Hwy. They're fixed, clearly visible and they've been there atleast a yr. No bushes whatsoever. In fact pretty sure there is sign with a pic of a camera two exits before each camera warning there is a camera somewhere up ahead. I don't think these ones flash either?? Don't really want to find out

Some of the newer van cameras now rear face as well. Found out the other day when DH got a fine in the mail. We couldn't remember who was driving for a bit but then we worked it out it was him and DS had been crying in the car at the time. (DH doesn't do crying very well). DH paid it. He shouldn't have been speeding even if the crying was stressing him out. He should know better, he's a cop, there's no excuse.

Nobody said you were worried just pointing out that the people who are worried should probably be doing the speed limit...

There are also reasons for NOT hiding speed cameras, one of them being to get people to actually slow down in a dangerous location.

They've also got the point to point speed cameras which calculate your average speed over a stretch of road. I think the one on the Bruce Highway is for about 20-30km....
