Photos from behind are usually from speed cameras at light intersections I think?

If he passed a police van it would have had a camera in front of it so it would have got him from behind... but I have also seen the intersection cameras get from behind too..

Dh got snapped by a van a few months ago and it was only a photo of the back of the car. He then followed that up a few weeks later by getting pulled over and getting a hand written ticket! Not impressed......

I believe some of the new cameras can snap traffic in both directions!

really?! but if it flashes at night, isn't it dangerous to have such a bright flash in drivers eyes? oh wait... they have their own rules...

In WA they have rear facing speed cameras, they are so they can hide them behind the bushes so you don't see them. Also so the people who have the scanners don't pick it up so easily.

And if you're not speeding then whether they're hidden or not shouldn't be a concern to you.....
