    Default Thermo Lovers Christmas Thread!

It's only a few weeks away!

I thought it might be fun to have a thermy Christmas thread for two reasons.

1- share what thermie gifts you are making! I'm going to try to make the bulk of my Christmas gifts this year. I've started on the jam but am also thinking bottled pasta sauce, relish, balsamic reduction, maybe a caramel sauce?

2- what are you making for the big day in your thermie? Any good Christmas recipes that anyone wants to share?

I don't have anything to contribute yet...but I'm looking forward to hearing more ideas!

Actually...I think I will be making Torte Caprese for Xmas lunch with the inlaws. I usually do a flourless chocolate cake as they are gluten intolerant!

I made the 'red and green xmas shortbread' last year for teachers.

Some festive bread, and almond addiction (plus dips/salads etc) for xmas day

..no idea what I'll be doing this year yet.

Can someone tell me how achievable this is.
    Some sort of "fudge"
    BBQ sauce/relish
    Lemon butter/Jam
I'd need about 6 small jars of each...
    Any tips/advice very welcome.

I did loads of jam and lemon butter last year. Totally achievable and SOOO easy really. Every one raved about it. Also made brandy butter, and tomato passata. The passata wasn't the best recipe but was ok I guess. Everything else was awesome and I made 4 jars of each (jam, brandy butter, lemon butter and passata) in about 2 hours.

Also made cherry ripe balls which were a HUGE hit!!

This year I'm doing more homemade stuff from DS but might also make some brandy butter. Also think I'll do cherry ripe slice for SIL and ill make rocky road for FIL but that's not thermo.

For Xmas I'm not sure what I'll make in the thermo for food. We're doing a BBQ here so it'll just be meat and salads. Might make rolls in it not that exciting I know!!

I'm thinking sugar cookies cut into stars, maybe some shortbread?
I'm wondering if veg stock would make a good gift?

Yes! I don't see why not. Just a little gift card attached explaining how to use it.
