Wondering how you ladies are going with telling people the news? Are you waiting for 12 weeks or letting close friends/family know already?

I'm feeling a little uneasy having told quite a few people! Oh god- I wish it was just "safe"!

Is it ever safe anyway? I have told mum and 2 close friends. If something does go wrong then I have some support.

I am going crazy trying to work out who to go with and what hospital. I had a small stroke after DD that has left me with some peripheral vision loss. i had some issues with the type if care i chose last time. Hmm decisions decisions.

@Sophisto I've told my mum and step-dad, waiting to see dad; told pregnant bestie, and a family friend who's just a had a baby. DH is waiting to tell his parents - he's really worried about them having a bad reaction, since they took our engagement so badly, and are very much of the "wait til you have a house and a career and blah blah blah" mindset (sorry if anyone else here does, too - it's just very annoying to have people criticize you for not sharing their values!!).

ANYWAY! Hi, I've just moved over from the TTC forum. This is our first baby, after a chemical pregnancy in September.

So far my only symptom has been the slowing of my stomach - I can't eat very much before feeling full, and I'm starting to get reflux a fair bit. OH and developing food aversions, like red meat. And not too keen on sweet stuff, either. Mostly seeking out savoury stuff and protein - not going to complain about that haha now all I need to do is develop an exercise routine and I'll be fit and healthy in no time!

Hi Soph, we haven't told anyone yet and planning on keeping it secret til 12wks. I'm high risk so even at 12wks will only tell family and a few close friends.
It's hard to keep secret but for me it's for the best.

It must be hard to keep a secret but I understand why. It must be extra nice to be able to share your experience on bub hub

Afm- I think I've told about 7 people!!

So true! Bubhub has kept me sane through this whole process!!! I think DH has been grateful for it too!! Lol

I feel like singing it from the rooftops but I'm quietly bubbling with excitement inside :-)

I think some people are getting suspicious already with my salad free grog free dinner choice last night....7weeks of secrecy to go! 😬

I've been hopeless and told quite a few people. I'm terrible at keeping secrets. But we won't make an announcement until 12 weeks.

I even told my boss. He's super supportive and has recommended I take a year off after having the baby.

We have our work Xmas party coming up next week and I have a feeling everyone else at work will figure it out. We're going on a winery tour and I've always been the keen socialiser who enjoys a drink!

Has anyone booked in for a dating scan? I have mind scheduled for Monday week. Can't wait! I hope we see a heartbeat
