    Default UTI at 29 weeks

well I ended up back at the hospital last night with what I thought ( based on a nurse on call phone chat ) gallstones.
luckily enough it was not so serious and was just a UTI.
they had done all standard test- monitoring, bloods and urine sample.

they gave me some panadine for the pain which worked wonders last night. Now today I am in agonising pain again, I can barely move so I called them back and they said that they cannot really do anything for now so just use heat packs in the sore area. Is there anything else I can do to ease the pain until I see my gp tomorrow?
    Panadol has done nothing... :-(

    thanks ladies

Have you been put on antibiotics? I had a UTI when pregnant and was put on an antibiotic drip that did the trick and cleared the infection up. I would be inclined to go back to the hospital!

😱 they diagnosed a pregnant woman with a UTI and didn't prescribe anti b's?you need to head back and get some anti b's and pain relief op. Untreated UTI can cause prem labour and not to mention uncomfortable and painful for you! Hope you are feeling better soon

You need to get onto antibiotics ASAP, I'm sorry but UTI's can be very dangerous in pregnancy, you need to go to the GP now.

thanks again everyone. I am heading back up to the hospital shortly. I had to wait due to no rego on car but going to pay it at 8.30 then heading straight up there as they called me yesterday and they said they made a mistake and all was clear on my blood tests so now I want to know if not a UTI then what's causing all this
