Goes up first of December. We sing carols, watch The Hogfather and decorate the tree.

Comes down 31st of December usually.

Back in my day, ABC played Alice Cooper on the kids cartoons and our cartoons could talk. Being a kid sucks now.

Tree usually goes up around the first week of December. It comes down whenever we can be bothered after Christmas.

DH likes to put ours up the day after Thanksgiving (26th November) he use to live in the states and this is one tradition he kept from it! I don't mind cause I love Christmas!! So with the 26th being a Tuesday it will be going up this weekend! I can't wait! We make an afternoon/evening of it, play carols, stick on Christmas movies!!
It comes down a few days after Christmas, no set time really.

Okay so growing up it was always strictly up on the 1st Dec, down New Year's Day. As soon as I moved into my own place I changed the rules :P this year we put everything up mid November and will take them down when I can bear to part lol, christmas is my favourite time of year.

Usually first of dec tree hours up, it comes down anytime from boxing day but is down before the new year. This is what we grew up with. Mum used to tell us if it was up outside of december it was "bad luck".

This year I put it up yesterday, because my mum is visiting, but leaving friday (to return just before xmas). I wanted her to see the excitement in ds' eyes. He is 2y8m and did not disappoint! He loves it and loved helping!
