Traditionally, we put it up on Christmas Eve.

Tradition has been slightly altered to allow for it to be put up on 1 December.

And then there is reality when I have had it up for a week or so but am still fiddling with it so pretending it's not really 'up' ...

Love this! I am so tempted to put mine up this weekend instead of waiting until the 1st!

We used to say December 1.... But I'm itching to do it already so it will probably be this weekend!

We make a big deal of it then do it all again at my parents house when they put theirs up. I love Christmas!! Even more excited this year as DD1 is at the perfect age and has learnt so many Christmas carols

Haha photos when I have new fairy lights. Which is going to involve taking all the decorations that may or may not have been up since early November down again ...

We usually put it up a week maybe two before Christmas, then take them down by 12th night (it's bad luck for the rest of the year not to)
