Default Anyone been to Brisbane's nurture centre?

Just interested to hear feedback and if you think it was worth it? Also how old was your bub?

I was considering it but my pead disagrees and cut me off just as I was mentioning it. He thinks they do controlled crying but the website says otherwise. I think he is confused with Ellen Barron?? He thinks CC is child abuse so the conversation ended there.

Wow this is my exact concern. So when I saw there might be a diffrrent option to the ellen baron Centre I thought I would ask my paed. We are in the process I of trying to decide what to do about sleep. It's a disaster in our house right now. But my daughter has a h diagnosed medical condition so crying it out is just not something I think I can do.

Yeah I am totally against cc too. Maybe give them a call to clarify because it says on the website hands on methods or something to that effect. So I'm not really sure what that means.

Thankfully the sleep has started to get a little better after I posted this thread. How old is your dd? Mine is 11 weeks. She wasn't sleeping at all during the day and constantly screaming. I know she was tired but couldn't do anything to help her it was hell.

I was recently reffered to ellen barron Centre and was told on the phone that they do not do controlled crying or cry it out anymore.

We didnt end up needing our referral as when DS3's medical stuff sorted out his night sleeping improved, but if I had of arrived and it was CC or CIO I would have left straight away.

I'm going to the nurture centre dec 2 for my 6.5mo. They do not do controlled crying. All the nurses I've spoken too sound great, fingers crossed I'm as happy with it as other people I've spoken too

Can you please keep us updated when or after you are there? I may still need to consider it if dd doesn't move into her own bed at some stage (we co-sleep).

How long does it take to get a place and is there a minimum age?
