Hi All, so the relief of the ultrasound has worn off with a big red clot bleed on Sunday. Baby heartbeat still there and ok but now my HK auto-immune tests are back and the HK RI says i have one of the most severe APA results he's ever seen and i am at grave risk for miscarriage as the antibodies stop the formation of blood vessels to the embryo/placenta. Out of the 18 APA antibodies tested I have a positive/high positive on 9 of them so titers 1:100 to 1:400. Coupled with my MTHFR blood clotting issue it's a real problem.

He's really freaked me out. I've sent the results to Dr M and asked for a phone consult. HK RI wants me to start on IVIG immediately as he doesn't think intralipids are strong enough. Have any of you had severe APAs and done either treatment?

The other issue is my OBGYN has put me under house arrest (we cancelled my trip to Japan this weekend) and even says I shouldn't be travelling 1.5hrs to HK. SO whilst the HK RI wants me back urgently for IVIG, i just don't know what to do. Too many cooks on this one. Guess need to talk to them all and see if advice is consistent or not.

I also don't understand why i've had my APA tested 3 times now by 3 different labs and this last result is only one that showed a problem.

    Ugh freaking out again!

Sorry Emily, dont know. Hope someone else has an answer.

Kiwi76: i hope Dr M can help you out soon!! I would be freaking out too!!

It sounded like these immu tests are so sensitive to different lab testing method. Is this the reason why Dr M prefers us to do the BTs at his lab? I didnt want to wait until going to syd to do it because I want Dr M to have some results when i get there. If he needs to order more, I can do it there. Save time. Although the blood was sent off to syd, despite doing it here. He also orders the few blood tests that were ordered by my FS. I wonder why a redo.....

Kiwi76, I know it's easier said than do e, but you need to try and relax so bub can nestle in. I hope dr m can give you some answers quickly. It must be so hard doing it in a foreign country. Where abouts are you?

So it has come back with my CD8 cells being mildly high. Also the test included CD57+ cells, these are 18%. I am a bit confused I thought the CD57 cells were uterine cells? Can these be tested with a blood test? If so does anyone know what the acceptable range is?

Thank you for your help in advance :-)
Sorry Emily ...won't be able to advise you on this..but I'm sure u'll get answer soon 😊

Yes on 40mg daily Clexane plus now added a baby aspirin. Still on Dex 2mg till wk9 then switch to Predict 25mg, 2 x 400mg prog till who knows when.

Ive been researching APAs and literature is mixed about whether ivig helps or not. Seems common treatment is the Clexane aspirin and steroids. Don't know if Hk RI is scaremongering me or not but he said if i don't do ivig urgently i have 90% chance of losing baby.

Waiting for Dr M to give me a time to discuss. Doing my best to be logical and calm but boy it's tough. I'm in southern china - not great with all these complications.

Thanks everyone for making sure i don't feel alone in this. DH away and he is livid about cost and scaremongering so not very helpful.

Nattie, I was on Pred, not dex but was told from ovulation. Most ladies on here are doing ivf and start a lot earlier. I would say it was just assumed that o would be cd 14

    Default IVIg

Can those of you who have had IVIg be able to tell me what It was treating? also anyone got antiphospholid antibodies? And did you get any side effects from The ivig? I'm worried that it is a blood product. In HK its also $3200 ouch!!!
