Pihu, dr m would've tested you for it, it's one of the standard things he looks for.

My level is 1:1280 and I had previously tried aspirin and progesterone with a view to starting clexane at 5-6 weeks but this did not work for me, I had a chem. dr m had me on clexane, pred from ovulation then progesterone at much higher level than my fs was willing to prescribe from bfp. Also intralipids from bfp, but he also found extra problems than just the high ana that my ob and fs found

He can tell from the biopsy after starting the treatment or before?

i had my intralipids in HK last week and after 3 painful goes with the cannula, Dr finally got one in! I knew it was going to be painful as the Dr can barely stand up but I'm grateful to be able to get it done 2hrs from "home" vs 10 hours.

Also had first OB appt. Asked him about spotting and irritation and he said prob just prog pessaries and nothing we could do about it. He didn't do an exam or swab though so not sure if they just do things differently in HK or not. The highlight was first scan! Saw the dot that is our baby! No heartbeat yet but back on Fri to see if we get one. Scan showed no ectopic for which I'm grateful and no twins which was sad but again grateful to still have one. Maybe the spotting was from the twin. Also did another hcg and it came back 4268 so has def doubled.

Now I'm just trying not to panic every time I see blood down there and still being boring resting up. Im still waking at 4am so trying to catch up when i can. Poor DH struggling a bit with me being less active etc but small price to pay.

BB - when did you start realizing something was going wrong? I'm just so sad for you but you can't blame yourself for not knowing about the ANAs. This whole process is a step by step and unfort seems most of us don't get the right advice and help the first time up. So thankful for this thread as don't feel so blind! X
Except perth ladies probably have to fly east to do intralipids.

Oh...few days after my official BT, i just felt something was off. That was the end of 5 weeks. I didnt feel tired anymore. I felt weird with my uterus every now and then. Something i have never felt before in my life. But it was too early for it to stretch. So when I saw a tiny thread of red blood on toilet paper I was worried and had hubby took me to the local hospital in the evening. That's when we found out the drop of hcg. While i was waiting, i tried to ease myself that it was just a tiny blood thread. I had more spotting during my TWW which was probably implantation bleeding but few days later than one normally has it.

Anyway Dr M appt this thurs. Then I will talk to my FS on fri about having her do the NK cell biopsy for me.

Thanks arlais...will check with dr. M in my next appointment. Take care ☺️

Pihu, yes ANAs is one of Dr M standard test and he would have sent u for it after ur first appointment. It is also a standard reoccurring miscarriage test.
Dr M would have told u if you had a high result when he went through your bloods at your second consult so I wouldn't worry, if u haven't heard of it yours must be fine

Hi ladies, I have my follow up apt with dr m tmw. I am so anxious, I just want to know the results! Part of me hopes he has found something, so at least I'll know why IVF hasn't worked and will have a plan to 'fix' it. But part of me is hoping nothing is wrong as I'm sick of being the one who has the problem!

On the plus side, my nails have had a massive growth spurt and are so long and tough! It must be the Caltrate, either that, vit d or the dhea, but I've never had such nice nails! Now I've just gotta learn how to file and paint them.

    Hi all,
Here's a question for Dr M patients. We need to travel to Sydney for intrallipid from my home state, before we head over to Sth Africa for donor egg IVF. But in the weeks preceding our departure I have work commitments which make it impossible to get there for a weekend transfusion, other than a month out. Alternatively, I have asked to have Intrallip upon arrival in Cape Town, which would essentially be 7 days before transfer. Will this be enough in advance? Thoughts/ advice much appreciated please.
