Thanks soclose...my hair was very thick before I started pred. I had very nice growth too but this pred damaged everything 😒

Pihu I didn't really notice any more fallout than usual when I was on pred, and it doesn't seem to have had any carry on effect either. I got a little extra hair growth on my face, but that was the extent of that particular side effect.

So it doesn't always mean the side effects of pred will be long lasting - I hope what you're experiencing is only temporary

Sorry ladies one last question.. Does anyone know what provera is for? Is it progesterone support? Dr m told me to only start using pressaries once I get a BFP and with Ivf u normally start using them after embryo transfer.

Hi nattie, I think provera is used to regulate your cycle and bring on ovulation before starting stims. I just did a down regulated cycle where I took provera pills for a week and then on day 4/5 of the provera i started Lucrin which then suppresses ovulation till ready for egg collection. It's all supposed to calm your ovaries down so they start from a more even baseline before stimulating with FSH.

the progesterone your FS is talking about is the crinone or pessaries you start before ET to help prepare your lining for implantation.

thanks that makes sense however I am confused as to why the doc wouldn't say use the pessaries after ovulation to help with prog levels? Oh well I have some so I will take it anyway ;p

Quick question, if you tested positive for ANA, how high is high from Dr M standard? That's when he will start concerning about it. Thanks. Xx

Sorry bbhope I have no idea.

I had my first intrepalid infusion yesterday omg I was soo bored and tired when I finally left at 1045pm!!! Hey has anyone had any adverse reactions? I almost had an asthma attack at the end and this morning I have had some abdominal cramps. Although I am due for my period in a few days so maybe that's it.
