Thanks SimpsonD and Chiefsg. Good tip on the Dex - I've started taking it again as well as antibiotics to help with my infection. Been trying to get some advice from Dr M but having probs with G timing. I had some acupuncture this morning and feel better although nurse at Genea took one look at me and said she really didn't think they would approve a fresh transfer on the weekend. Now drinking copious amounts of Gatorade and on a soup/cracker diet to make sure don't get as dehydrated again. I'm still hopeful by Sunday which is day 5 that they might transfer..... Although goodness knows being back in china with ohss and preggers be pretty scary.

I know someone was after where to get DHEA. You need to get it from a compound pharmacy. There is one on Macquarie St in the City. If you take it I'd be interested to know if your hair starts falling out. Mine def is a lot more thn usual but again all worth it if it helps improve quality.

Thanks kiwi76, I ended up getting it from a compounding chemist at kings wood $65 for 100 tabs with free next day delivery, hopefully that was a good price? What time of the day did you take yours? I've heard it can cause insomnia, but I was told to take it 2x a day which is normally morn and night.

I have quite thick hair so it will be interesting to see if it thins!

Don't talk to me about Dr M's receptionist... Lucky I am no starting my drugs for another month.. I missed some instructions when I wrote it all down. Called Wednesday and twice today. I know she is busy but come on...

Unless she's at Miranda, she didn't look too busy then!

I saw Dr M today at Bankstown, and while G has not seemed busy the two occasions I've been at Miranda, today at Bankstown, she didn't stop. Dr M was running one and half hours late for me, so I had plenty of time to watch her - the whole time there were one or two people standing at her desk, and her phone did not stop ringing. Sometimes she had a chance to answer it, and other times she just left it to go to message bank. But here's the thing; when it went to message bank and the person left the message, the whole of the waiting room could actually hear the message being left - people's names, mobile numbers and what their intimate problems were!! Lesson learnt there - I'll just be leaving the shortest message possible in future.

Protocol from Dr M is basically the same as last time
    - aspirin (from start of cycle)
    - Prednisolone (25 from start of cycle, 30 from transfer)
    - Clexane (he ummed and aahed about this - first saying from day after EPU, and then changing his mind to day after transfer)
    - Intrallipids (the Sat before EPU)

    Things that are different:
    - he said don't do Testogel this time, nor DHEA - he said they are "androgens" and can affect the protocol that my new FS, Dr C at FF, is doing. He suggested taking something like "Erjinine" or "Inositol" (spelling?) instead, so I'll have to google them.
    - after BFP (lol, I laughed inside, as he kept saying "after the positive" like it was a given) then having IVIG instead of intrallipid and also having Nuprogen. Let's see if I get to that stage!!

Nattie.. interestingly, Dr M sent me for more BTs today, that also included HLA. It was more because I pressured him if there were any further tests I hadn't done yet. They are special tests, which cost an extra $300 something - drop in the ocean compared to what I've paid so far :-))

Hi Chiefs! That is a good deal with the DHEA - ESP if they deliver for free. I take 1 x 25mg at breakfast and dinner. I know some people say you take 3 x 25mg but the 2 x dose is just what my FS gave me. Only been taking it since mid-Dec so probably not enough to have impact on this current egg crop. Apparently you need to take it for at least 3 months. Are you on CoQ10 as well? I heard that can help with egg quality too.

I finally heard back from G with instructions from Dr M (7 hours and 5 calls later) For any of you who find ever yourself in similar predicament being unsure if cycle will continue:

If no chance of embryo transfer then stop all Dr M meds immediately except for the Dex or Prednisolone - SimpsonD spot on about needing to wean off steroids. G said to take one less tablet every 3 days till you get to zero.

If still a chance of cycle continuing, just keep going with Dr M's protocol till preg test time.....

i have woken today feeling heaps better - no more sharp pains and swollen belly reduced (so ironic you look like a 8mth preggers!). Pain now just dull ache and easily managed with Panadol. Nurse said that my bloods have improved and they will confirm today if have embryo transfer tomorrow (assuming our embies progress to blast which they haven't really in the past). I'm really hopeful finally getting fresh DH stuff will make a difference. Fingers crossed!
