MGC Bertie - sorry about your BFN. I always started resting about 14dpo when doing pregnyl and only ever had the residual of the pregnyl. When I had my success on transfer 7 I tested at 12 dpo and it was blindingly positive.

Have you been with Fertility First before. Anne was my FS before I flicked to Sacks after I lost the twins last Jan as she does not believe in NK Cells & will not treat them. I had to force her to let me try the Pred & Clexane which resulted in that pregnancy. I have swapped between her & Sacks a bit in 2013 but have to stay with Sacks now for PGD. Also if you haven't been with her before she will do all the testing all over again.

Her nurses & admin are fantastic & I really like the girls there.

MGC Bertie why don't you think about using one of the digital testers. That way you don't have to worry about interpreting what I often found to be ambiguous lines! I have used the clear blue digital test which shows up pregnant or not pregnant on the display then gives an estimate of weeks post conception. They are more expensive but might be worth it!

good luck! Thinking of you tomorrow!

Arlais I found your story very moving. Thank you for sharing!

Leebec76... Yes, I did have a consultation or two with Fertility First, when I first moved from Next Generation. Next Generation doesn't do anon donor sperm hence the move. So I scheduled appointments at both IVFA and FF, knowing they both did anon donor sperm. I did all the BTs etc with both of them, but in the end went with IVFA, as we preferred IVFA's mTESE FS for DH's procedure, rather than FF's one. We have now used up our three goes with the anon donor sperm at IVFA, and now go on the bottom of their waiting list, about 3-4 months wait, hence why I'm thinking of going to FF and get another cycle in.

So thanks very much about Dr Clark's view of NK cells. I battled discussing it with Prof I at IVFA, but after a number of fails, he eventually relented and let me have some basic tests. When my ANA came back high titre, he easily prescribed things I'd been asking for 12 months. At the same time I went to Dr M and got him to do many more tests and prescribe the things Prof I wouldn't. I don't remember Dr Clark not believing in NK cells, but DH says he remembers it clearly, and wonders if we'll get any joy. My plan is to at least have another consultation, and even if she won't prescribe things, then I'll just get Dr M to prescribe them. He seems happy to do that. When I questioned him last time about not telling Prof I about doing the intrallipids, he said something along the lines of, "it's the same as when you have a headache, you don't go and check with an optometrist if the painkillers will affect your eyes." It kind of made sense :-))

I'm sort of not surprised at the result - I knew that no symptoms meant no baby. Haven't had time to cry with DH yet, as my brother arrived at the door that very instant, and now him and DH are watching some action movie!! At least I know I tried everything, with two transferred this time and doing Intrallipids, Clexane, Prednisolone, Aspirin, plus all the normal stuff.

Have made appointment in a couple of weeks at Fertility First, as they have no waiting list for donor sperm, so we can put together some options what to do next. My sister was going to donate her eggs, but just before Christmas found a boyfriend, and now "has to talk to him" about it, so we may end up in SA for DEs sooner than later.
mCG don't give up just yet. I know everyone's different when they are pregnant but I basically know I am pregnant because I feel good and not like I am getting my period during the 2ww, all the sickness etc usually doesn't kick in till 6 weeks so the fact u have no symptoms does mean anything and unfortunately I have been pregnant 8 times (7 miscarriages) so I have some experience on early pregnancy.

Libelle so sorry for the loss of your twin but I have a friend who had something similar only the second one did not reabsorb properly and interfered with the placenta attachment of the surviving baby and although my friends little girl was born health she was tiny and induced early because of it. Your twin has already reabsorbed which means you won't have any of those type of problems and now you can focus getting your bub here safely with out the extra worry. Hopefully the rest of your pregnancy will be less stressful.

me, got my period and started the god awful steroids and it's insomnia already! I am about to lose it with Mr Atul Kumra from India as he barely answers my emails about the Neupogen, I really wanted to use it this cycle as I am already on the steroids, clexene and doing intralipids on jan 11th, scratch jan 15th. All the effort and I don't think I will have the Neupogen on time but I suppose I just have to be patient and hopefully if not this cycle then the next.

Libelle, I'm so sorry to hear of the loss of one of your twins, but as you said arlais said it so well, how one sacrificed so the other could survive and you now have a better chance of not having complications further on.

MGC Bertie don't give up yet, fat lady aint here yet! Interesting to hear the comments about Anne at ff as one of the managers at my office has been trying to get me to go see her since he found out I was doing ivf (his wife got pregnant with her after 2 cycles 10 years ago), but if they're against nk cells and their treatment I'm better off with my FS who has said she'll prescribe anything dr m says he wants me to take!

So lose that's so weird as G let me make a follow up appointment and I haven't even had my first appointment yet! Maybe she could hear the desperation in my voice, the last failure took its toll on me pretty bad!

Ladies I have a question on supplements. I've been taking quite a few for the last year but just ones you get over the counter at the chemist. Here is what I take:

2 x black mores pregnancy gold
    2 x 150mg coq10
    2 x 1000iu vitamin d3
    2 x 2000mg fish oil
    30mg goji berri juice
I rub magnesium oil into my body 3 x a week
I soak my feet in Epsom salts - especially when on hgh!

Some of you take calcium and other folate. Should I be taking those and where should I buy them? I've heard of I herb.com but fear I'd get lost on their website! Thanks for any advice!

Chiefsgirl... the supplements I take are quite similar, but I only take Vit D 3x a week as that's what my bone specialist prescribed me - more than that, then my numbers skyrocket and it's unnecessary, as extra doesn't actually do anything extra. I also take Caltrate (calcium) 9x week (again, because that's what my bone specialist prescribed). I particularly need Caltrate, as I have a thyroid condition (yep, a good ole immune condition) and the thyroid leaches calcium from my bones, hence why I need higher doses. I also take Vitamin E 1x day (can't remember why, but someone recommended it!!) Though I've read previously good things about your last three (juice, oil and salts) I don't do them.

Hi Soclose, I emailed G to book me one month after the biopsy as per the Discharge Summary and Instruction Sheet. She did not reply but when I called her, she booked me on the 17th at 245pm and said that was the last appt for the day so far. I think Leebec is correct as G already knew me for they cancelled my 1st appt without me knowing until I arrived to an empty and locked up clinic. I was so furious when I called and even wrote a long email about it. She booked me right away 2 days after. I really think Dr M needs another person to assists G. A lady named Debbie replied to some of my emails but only met G in the clinic and not Deb. Just keep calling or send an email and remind her that the discharge instruction says to book 1 month after.

Libelle - I'm sorry to read about your loss, how upsetting, its a relief your body has corrected itself and you can focus on a healthy baby on it's way. Sometimes our bodies do know what to do

MGC - Hope it all works out for you, I know that feeling, hanging in there not crying just in case! Maybe you won't cry this time, I still haven't had a real "let it all out cry" since November and our BFN, except when it tried to rear its head in the Optometrist the other day... mmh not appropriate thank you very much! Its fantastic you have some back up plans in place

Chiefs - When I consulted with Dr M he had me on, 2 x Caltrate Plus (has other goodies in it too & steriods robs your body of calcium), 1 x Vit E, 1 x folate (which I was already taking) and then the usual that I was taking, Bio Ceuticals 2 x Pre Natal... I used to take CoQ10 when I was trying with my own eggs, but didn't this time round. Plus I ran out and got Bio Ceuticals Magnesium Powder after been on Dexmethasone for about a week, as I got really bad calf muscle cramps.
Thats interesting you rub mag oil into your skin - I didn't know you could do that? - How does that work? And the Epsom salts, good old remedy - what does that do again?

MGC if its been more than 12 months since you did your last lot of tests at FF they make you do them again. It's so frustrating.

Also I told Anne I was seeing Dr M and she was fine to go along with whatever he does she just won't do anything herself.

    Chiefs - I take:
    2 x vitamin d
    1 x ifolic
    4 x caltrate
    3 x fish oil
    4 x 150mg CoQ10

I up the dose of fish oil to 4 when doing a cycle.

Most of these were prescribed by Anne but I did the CoQ10 before even seeing her & Dr M added the caltrate for my TH1/TH2 issue. Sacks also agreed with all of these apart from caltrate as I started that with Dr M after seeing Sacks for a couple of months.

i just wanted to add that I noticed on here that a lot of you have side effects for Pred & Dex. I have been taking Pred on & off since I was 16 due to asthma & my November cycle was my first Dex one & the only side effect I have ever had was I turn into a food monster & I put some serious weight on. When we got married in Sept 2010 I was 53, when I lost the baby in Dec 2010 I was 57 ( put on some honeymoon/preg weight) then after clomid I was 62. By the time I started immune treatment in November last year I was 65 & when this cycle failed I was 74. I am trying to get to 68 before my CGH cycle starts but I had a massive allergic reaction to the type of grass at our property on the Hawkesbury river & ended up at Windsor hospital covered in a rash & my face swollen so they put me on 50 mg Pred. The rash hasn't gone & got worse on on Thursday so now back on the 50mg Pred to be weened down so can't see weight loss happening.

Thank you! I ended up emailing saying that's what my hospital discharge sheet said and no reply surprise surprise! There doesn't seem to be any set format that they follow. Not organised at all. I will ring and hassle again Monday. Good luck with your results. Let us know how you go
