    Hi Everyone,

Sorry I've been MIA... after my work trip things have been so hectic at the office, plus cleaning up at home after renos and preparing for in-laws arrival. Gosh its been busy in here! Lots to catch up on!

Libelle- isn't it surreal to see yourself in the UTD section for the first time?! I still can't believe its my name under that heading. Very happy to hear you have one healthy bean on board, but how bittersweet that the second is looking unlikely to progress. If it is not viable, I hope it resolves itself without any harm to your surviving baby xo

Stillhope- I had such a good feeling about your cycle and so happy that you got your BFP! Another first time success story after Dr Ms protocol, congratulations!!

    Cappy
    - I'm so happy to see you got a BFP (I stalked another thread hehe)! Huge congrats!! I hope this is the sticky bub you have been waiting for.

Nidhulaine- I hope you can track down the Neupogen in time for your Jan cycle. 2013 has certainly been a rough year for you, and I hope that when 2014 rolls in, it brings nothing but happiness and a healthy pregnancy.

soclose and leomum- hope the wait for biopsy results passes quickly and you can be on your way early in 2014.

Sooty- I find it so amazing that in the aftermath of a BFN we get straight into planning the next attempt. Especially in your case with starting over a new ED process. This desire for a baby makes us do crazy things to ourselves! I have faith that your persistence and determination will pay off . Any update on your high CA125? I hope it was just a one-off because of IVF and the levels drop down again.

Preciousheart- I hope you were able to sort out the different terminology for the NK cells between here and the US. Thanks for the plug for Dr Reid! He is my FS and he is fantastic. Very open minded and always happy to consider other treatment protocols, including immune therapy. I didn't tell him I was seeing Dr M until just before last FET but he didn't bat an eyelid and was happy for me to do whatever it took. I don't think it would hurt to have your intralipid the day after EPU. The girls who conceive naturally wait until BFP to have their infusions.

Elarwood- Oh no, I was hoping you'd be lucky this time. BFNs (or chemicals) are so much harder when a CGH embryo is transferred and you're already on some form of immune treatment . Its like a huge slap in the face that it is our body's fault and it seems we can't conceive no matter what we try... but it does lead to answers and gets you closer to a BFP for the next time. In my case I needed longer-term suppression with stronger steroids, and intralipids. Dr M put me on dex 6 weeks before FET. The new BTs you're having will tell Dr M exactly what you need. Its just a shame so many good embryos are wasted before we find him and get the right treatment.

Gentay- gosh you got hit with a quadruple whammy with all those issues, you poor thing! If Dr M says that dex would suffice then have IVIG on confirmation of BFP, I would trust him. The Bondi protocol is very mild and wasn't enough for me either, I couldn't even get a chem pg with that after transferring a PGD tested embryo. I chose not to stim and do immune meds at the same time. I did a stim cycle with all embryos frozen, then later on started immune meds and did a natural FET so it would be easier on my body. If you haven't tried an endo scratch before as Nidhulaine suggested, then definitely get one. I am a huge believer that it 'fluffs up the cushions' and gives your embie a cosy spot to implant. Mine was done at 7-12dpo in the cycle before my FET.

Pihu- welcome to our thread! I'm so sorry to read of all your troubles and being on pred for over a year . Your FS did not treat you very well and I'm glad you looked for help elsewhere. You have begun seeing Dr M, so you are definitely on the right track now. He will take good care of you and when your body is replenished and ready, I hope you'll be able to conceive naturally again and won't need to worry about IVF. If you do go back to IVF, then I also highly recommend Dr Geoff Reid.

Helenmac- PUPO with twins and 2 in the freezer- what a fantastic outcome!! I hope the TWW is passing quickly with no loss of sanity

MGC- best of luck for your TWW! Having the intralipids at 13 days before EPU should still be OK. As has been mentioned before, if you were TTC naturally you wouldn't have any until after you'd gotten a BFP. Post BFP, the intervals are 6-7 weeks apart so it remains effective for some time.

Lite Fantastic- wonderful to hear that your natural miracle is doing so well! Yay for 22 weeks and cutting down the pred to such a small dose, I'm not far behind you!

Nattie- great that your Dr M BT results are in! I never got a copy of mine sorry so I'm no help there. Interesting that some results are low, now I can't wait for you to see Dr M and get his explanation! Post-lap is the perfect time for a natural miracle... good luck! Just be sure to ring Dr M if you get a BFP so he can prescribe any immune meds straight away.

Chiefsgirl- welcome to our thread! Quite a few of us Syd IVFers in here now. Good job reading all the previous threads, that is no easy task. Here's hoping you'll be another Dr M success story very soon!

Hi to Timetoshine, Hummingbird, Kiwi, Arlais, Crofty, and the other lovely ladies

I would also like to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas! Those of you still waiting for your miracles, I hope they are coming to you in 2014, and that you are able to enjoy the holidays despite things not working out YET.

AFM- Feel like a need a nap after catching up on all the posts and writing this one . All going well here, I'm 20wks now and we had our morph scan last week. Baby has grown all his/her toes, fingers and vital organs . We did not find out the sex, keeping it a surprise for the birth. I was in for another intralipid on Saturday and got to meet Kiwi,so nice to have an infusion buddy to pass the time .

@SimpsonDesert-thanks for the roll call update and for the information. This thread and the women who contribute to it are a God send. We are so very fortunate to be able to share our experiences and knowledge and empower and give each other hope.
I will definitely look into the uterine scratch next month. I had the IVIG infusion yesterday - it was peace of mind and my Christmas present to me. I know it seems self-indulgent but I do not think I could survive another miscarriage - 3 in one year is enough!
All the very best with your pregnancy.
A blessed and happy Christmas to everyone and all the best for 2014.

Hi all! In the country with little reception & on an iPad so will be quick!

MGC Bertie so happy for you! Two is great, that's how I finally got my bubba, it's all good!!!
Libelle my dear, are you with an obstetrician yet? I would go straight to him/her rather than taking advice from your sonographer... I had 2 sacs with my bub but only 1 heartbeat at 1st scan, I bled til 15 weeks.. Truly go straight to you OB, you will feel much better... If you're in Sydney, I went to Dr Stephen Morris, he's a bit of an odd fish but a brilliant OB & surgeon... If you're not going private then see what your hospital of choice can offer you? Don't worry, it will be ok!
simpson ddesert you're amazing, that's for your post & rollcall, glad to hear about Dr Reid I do like him very much!

AFM I actually had great day 1 bloods on Sunday to my complete joy & amazement... My FSH WAS 13.8 & E2 131 which is just the bomb for me, FSH has been up to 29 this year... So we started a cycle jabbing lucrin & puregon 350 2 days ago, back on the dreaded dex too! This could sadly be my last shot with my own eggs which I havent quite accepted yet so I'm so thankful for the low FSH & hoping for the best... Trying hard to get DH to not drink much over Xmas always a challenge but he's doing well. Hoping for a transfer beginning of January!!!

So great to feel good vibes cracking away on this thread, 2014 here we all come!!!! Thinking of you all, have a wonderful Christmas lovely ladies

Quick post to update - specialist called on Xmas Eve and said there is nothing sinister going on. CA125 levels have dropped from high 400's to just under 200 - still very high (must have been related to those ED meds to a certain extent after all), but after the MRI, he doesn't think it is anything to worry about and no need for a laparoscopy. He's going to run the results past a couple of his colleagues to be sure, which is reassuring. A few things came up, but nothing that will stop us continuing on our ED journey. So, good news prior to Xmas.

Hope you all had a wonderful Boxing Day

Omg just reading dr beers book finally... It's amazing and frustrating at the same time to know I kept telling my doc something was linked to me getting sick every time we do Ivf and more so when we had our chemical!

Nattie 84, that's fantastic that you read the book!!! Now it can go only uphill. The same thing was happening to me too!!! I always got sick after transfer, which I told my FS, but every time I had a BFN, he told me it was just bad luck!!! Haha. There are no such things as bad luck in IVF!! There is always a reason!
So, well done, you are on the right track now

How exciting for you PreciousHeart! I hope this cycle is the one for you.

Nattie I always get sick after transfer also. I used to ask other ivf girls that I know if they got sick but they all said they felt great. Meanwhile I would be feeling terrible, aching all over and very flu like.

Sooty that is wonderful news. Have you selected a donor for your next cycle?

Simspon Dessert how lovely to be pregnant over Christmas. I'm hoping that will be me next year . Thanks for the roll call update.

Big hello to everyone and I hope you all had a lovely Xmas.
