Wow so much happening on this thread!

Stillhope - a huge congratulations! That is simply the best news. I am so thrilled for you. I'm sure its the best ever early Xmas present you've had!

MGC Bertie - great news on the 100% fertilisation. I have everything crossed for you that they keep developing strongly and that you have two lovely day 3 embryos to transfer Monday. Lucky your clinic is still open then! Mine closed Friday.

Helen Mac - thinking of you in your two week wait. I hope those two blasties snuggle in tight!

Nattie - glad your lap went well and they did not find anything nasty. I hope you recover quickly (I found my lap pretty painful to be honest) and hope for a natural miracle early in the new year for you!

Elarwood - I was really disappointed for you to hear your levels didn't look promising. How are you coping? Has the further testing confirmed it was a chemical? I had one in June and found the testing every few days tortuous and very emotional. Thinking of you.

Sooty - how are you? I hope your appointment with the specialist gave you more information about what's going on. Thinking of you.

    sorry if I've missed anyone!

AFM I have had a tiny bit more brown spotting but as the scans revealed a second sac that didn't take and a blood clot (sub chorionic haematoma) either of these could be the source. I'm trying to stay calm and having weekly scans just to reassure myself. The foetus (I cant yet bring myself to call it a baby! Am I weird? I think it's a self preservation thing, trying to stay detached?) is measuring on track with a strong heart beat so I will take comfort in that. Will be 8 weeks on Tuesday. Morning sickness has struck but just going with it at this point! Have finished work for the year thankfully so that helps the situation.

I hope no matter what stage you are at that you all manage to have a lovely Xmas and get to have a break!

    Libelle x

Libelle it took me ages to start referring as "baby" - it is very much a self preservation thing and you take whatever time you need to get to that point.

I don't think I was there until my 12 week scan when it looked so much like a mini baby, but then I had an awful 3 weeks or so waiting on appointments and additional testing (everything turned out fine) before I could really allow myself to start bonding. It wasn't long after that I was getting definite kicks, so once she started making her presence known it definitely became a reality that I've got a baby growing inside me!

Hi all! Wow so many great things happening on this thread! MGC, very excited for you, well done! and HelenMac looking fwd to hearing your news! and Sooty I really hope you are ok my dear... Hi soclose and everyone else, thanks for your updates!

Pihu I just wanted to get back to you and say that I was only diagnosed with CD57 in Sept this year, I had no testing for immune stuff until then so I really don't know if I had them in the uterus when pregnant but I had a big myomectomy to remove fibroids in 2008, then 2 d&cs for 2 x 7 week miscarriages and then with my baby, they put in two embryos for the first time and one was a vanishing twin with sac but no heartbeat, and I bled on and off until 15 or 16 weeks which was terrifying... so yes I could very well have had the CD57 then but I will never know. I was only on 100-200mg prog daily and clexane until end of first trimester with my baby. I know I am so very lucky to have him, every day I know this. With Dr M's help you will be so much closer to success, hang in there!

    HAve a wonderful Christmas everyone!!!

Hi ladies, I just wanted to pop in and say thanks for sharing so much of your journeys, Helenmac this is it for you and thanks so much for starting the thread.

Update.... well, turned up for transfer this morning and my FS had decided to do a double transfer for the first time. I was a bit surprised as he's always been against it for me, but a few factors weighed in to do it today. Firstly both day three embies were looking good - a 7ab and an 8ab, and he couldn't really say that one would fair better than the other. Secondly, as it is Xmas on day 5, they would have to freeze the second embie today at d3, and apparently d3 ones aren't as successful at thawing as d5 blastocyst ones. So a double transfer we did! Have bought my Clexane and will start jabbing that tonight, along with pregyl tonight; days 3,6,9, and now up Prednisolone to 30. Will also go for a mid-way BT on Sat to check progesterone levels in case we need to adjust pessaries, so am happy with amount of follow-up. Preg BT not until 6 Jan, so just as well there's lots of Xmas activities between now and then.

Good luck MGC Bertie! If you haven't done clexane before I would recommend to ice the area before you jab to help the sting and reduce bruising.
