Really?! The Uni I went to had free ranging peacocks and nothing creepier than getting surprised by one!
One of my good friends has one, and turkeys and about a thousand different breeds of chooks - I'll stick with my 27 Isa Browns!

You can buy them from the Uni I believe your talking about! Apparently they breed so need to get rid of some excess offspring!!

A house up the road have a couple, they are free range and if the gate is left open you will find them on the road, really off putting coming round the bend at speed to a peacock

I hope you love farm life @Hollywood! It looks so lush and green and hilly where you are!
We are more dry and flat!

Wow, this looks VERY similar to where I grew up in Vic. If it's the area I'm thinking, you've chosen well. Lush green pastures and good soil. What are you going to farm there if you don't mind my asking?

I just love how elaborate they are! What a fascinating creature, a thing of beauty.
I can't have one because I live in a shoe box in the suburbs, lol.

A meat merchant is currently leasing out the paddocks so there's cows on it already. Once we find our feet here we are hoping to put cows or possibly sheep. Still undecided. We are south of Warragul, is that where you are thinking?

He's so elegant, too. I love the way he gracefully walks around. He even looks elegant sitting on the ground!
