    Default UTI Pain

About 2 months ago i was put in hospital with threaten prem labor due to a UTI (that was undetected by my doctor) that put me at 5 cm dialated that kept me in hospital for just over 4 weeks as i was only 28 weeks at the time, they sent me home at 32 weeks and everything was going great until about 4 days ago when the same pain has come back again and this time doc put me straight on antibiotics before even doing tests.

Before now the last time i had a UTI i was about 12. Has anyone else had a UTI during pregnancy and any tips on how to manage the pain as I am getting the pain pretty bad mainly at night on my right and getting no sleep, i try and lay on my left but bub is in a position that makes the left hurt. I have tried heat packs, ice packs and panadol with codeine. I am giving the tablets until Sat to work then i think it might be a trip back to the hospital which i didn't cope very well last trip so not sure i could handle another long stay unless bub was on his way

You can try traditional things for uti pain. Like cranberry juice (reduced sugar), ural satchets and there is a uti tablet you can get its a vitamin of some sort. Take a trip to a good chemist and ask they will give you a few ideas and hopefully you can get rid of the symptoms and get some rest.

Thanks, when i got out of hospital i still had the slight pain and got straight on to ural and cranberry juice then started taking Hiprex which nailed it and kept on the cranberry and hiprex right up until i have started to get pain again

It seems to be reasonably fine during the day it is only the nights that it gets me, have gone and got panadol with codeine as a last resort as there was nothing else that i hadnt already tried, hopefully it eases soon or it is back to the hospital on the weekend i think.
