Default My son cracked my tablet screen!!

It was bought about one year ago for more than 700 dollars, today ds was playing with it on his high chair while I was washing dishes and he throw it to the floor. Now part of the screen does not display. The warranty has been expired, so regret that I did not buy extended warranty. I used it so much for my studies, It was especially good for reading. It is so expensive to repair.Dh is blaming me for being careless, blah blah..... I just want to cry !

I have contacted someone tonight, he said most tablets need heatgun to replace the screen, so it is going to be expensive even for the technical work itself. I saw that I can buy screen on eBay, but it seems all the costs together it nearly equals the price of a new one (I can keep the original dock).so don't want to spend money at this time, but seems I have to
