I really really despise house inspections! Actually not so much the inspection itself but having to scrub the walls beforehand! Worst. Chore. Ever! Next time I think I will just hire someone to do it for us!

I never went to such lengths for a routine inspection. I would just make sure that the floors were clean and the house was tidy. But then again our estate agent was very laid back. He would spend longer outside having a cigarette than he would in the house. I just wished he'd smoke after he was done, not before/during the inspection.

I feel trapped from all sides by my neighbors who all have dogs. When one barks it sets all the others off and we are in the middle putting up with the noise which stresses me out badly, especially at nap time. I'm the only one home during the day too so it doesn't matter to them. I feel too intimidated to complain to the council about ALL of my neighbour's! Only solution is to move house but we can't afford that right now. Tried talking to them but they don't care because they're not home to put up with it.

It's getting me down..Ds is in his cot crying because he can't go to sleep.

I would just complain to council. Is there one that barks more than others? Or one that seems to start the bark fest? Perhaps start with just the main culprit and see what happens. My in laws went through a group called "bark buster" when their neighbours complained about their dog barking during the day. She's a very well behaved dog now (she was before, but she had come from an abusive home so played up a bit/had trust issues). Perhaps print some info of the net and pop it in their letter boxes.

@Funnels I know how you feel! We used to have dogs next to us that barked at everything. It was extremely stressful for me at nap time. The dogs have died now (they were getting old and sick not because they barked to much). If your neighbours aren't home to make them stop can you get a spray bottle of water for when they bark?

I've been through the council for one neighbour's and things got much better but they are starting to slide again. Could dob on the other neighbour's but they are friends with someone else we know so EVERYONE will hate us. Frick n awkward situation. Spray gun is a good idea

I've never eaten so much watermelon in my life. Insatiable craving that even makes it's way into my dreams. Oh well, could be worse! :/

Yeah, at least it's watermelon. Could be much worse, like mint slices, hey @firsttimemum34?

(It's ok, I'm not pregnant and totally eat any biscuit like I'll never see another packet again!)

So sick of being jerked around by tradies. When you say you'll be at our old place (empty and no power either) at 430 and I drag my tired and hungry toddler there to wait for you and I ring 30 minutes later and you're an hour away and not even heading there that's just ****.

    So angry.

Miss 3 nearly walked in on her father producing a sample to check if his vasectomy has worked. We REALLY need a lock on that bedroom door!
