Got a message from the host at 7:25pm - "oops, didn't check my phone, we've been home for 45 minutes, sorry!" She was picking her partner up and was at his house when she wasn't home. So frustrating. Bub refused to sleep as she was so overtired so it was a pretty crappy night for us until we decided to leave at 9:30 because it was clear she wasn't going to sleep there. It's hard being the first one in a group to have kids, especially when none of them have nieces or nephews either so have spent zero time around babies!

You're not supposed to eat the white stalk from a lettuce. So sick of being served up "white lettuce" when clearly it should just go in the bin.

Think I'm developing a nut allergy to more than walnuts. Had a ferero rocher and now my tongue is burning/stinging. Frick.

I hate having to act surprised when you have accidentally found what your present was (especially when you weren't intentionally snooping!)
