Minestrone as part of a casserole base. Chicken noodle as part of chicken corn soup.
A good slower cooker one would be
    2 chicken breast
    2 tins of creamed corn
Soup base (normally I would use 2 min noodles but the soup will work)
    A diced onion
    2 Ltrs Of Chicken Stock.
Cook for 6 to 8 hrs on low.

Help! I have mince to use but no pasta, rice, potatoes. What could I do with it. I was going to do burgers but have no salad and not sure I can be bothered going to the shop. I will if I have to though!

Savoury mince on toast maybe? Bit of a boring suggestion

Do you have crushed tomatoes?? You could do bol toasties. Or if you have puff pastry and other veg you could make sausage rolls??

Otherwise if you really don't want to head out you could still do the burgers but just make them cheeseburgers.

Subbing as we are on the not spending any more money for the week cos there isn't any budget. the fridge is stocked enough and the pantry stocks aren't the best but still are ok. We have eggs, carrots and flour in excess.

Let's see how we go this week. Tonights dinner is going to be salad and quiche with homemade pastry.

I really should sub to this, $500 electricity bill and $350 water bill due by the end of the month. No idea why the huge electricity bill, but I guess our luscious new turf is to blame for the water :-(

I made a quiche with mushroom, carrot, onion & pumpkin to use up veg. We will have that again tomorrow night. I've got enough food that I don't need to buy anything before we leave for a holiday on Friday. I'm even packing food for in the car as I'll be spending a bit of money at a theme park while we are away. Luckily we are staying with family and they always like to feed us rather than have me buy food.
