Haha...now if it was an 80's party then I would be there- invited or not.

I'm funny about weddings because I see them as a forever thing. I love different weddings (my wedding was not traditional) but so long as you can look back and not regret it.

Con: you will have to play along too... And will likely end up having to wear some feral 80's puff ball dress with a poodle hair-do ..

I tried to upload some lovely images i found but the BH app won't let me (invalid picture format or whatever).

    Hey! Fair point!
    I had traditional already.
    4k white dress, church, reception...
I get it. And I agree! Not everyone will like it.

I won't force dressing up if I go through with it. If people don't want to then, they don't!

I think marriage is serious enough.
Why not have fun celebrating it. Tacky or not.

I would totally go! I was invited to a themed wedding (but couldn't attend ) and the photos were amazing and everyone had an amazing time.

I'm having a vintage wedding, am even wearing a dress from the 1970s. Others can wear what they want though for their own comfort. I'd feel a bit funny if I had to dress up in 80s gear to be completely honest but I often think weddings are totally to reflect people's personality so if you love the 80s I say do it

Can I come? I love the 80s. It's so fun to be tacky... and I think my crimper is still at my mum's house (along with a lovely taffeta dress I could wear). I also love "The Wedding Singer"
