Default Newborn and 2 year old, double pram?

I am due to have my baby when my little girl is 2. I am wondering if it would be wise to get a double pram? And if so can anyone recommend a good one? Thanks

I just bought a beema duo. I haven't used it with a newbie and toddler yet, but I love it so far. Folds well, steers well, takes a strider capsule. And want anywhere near as expensive as the others.

I am in a similar situation and just got the baby jogger city select double. It has a detachable second seat, I figure if my toddler is not in a stroller for much longer I will just sell the second seat.

It's great to steer but a little pricey ... Worth shopping around for a second hand one or a brand new one on special..

I have the baby jogger city select double. Got it from Winkalotts. There are in NZ but cheaper than buying here and have all the Aus standards.

So Mummy12 and WiseOldOwl, did you just order and have it shipped over? Did the postage cost a lot?

Yep, they ship here all the time. Shipping was free. I got the double and a car seat adaptor for $890. The currency exchange was better when I got mine than it is now. ATM the double would cost about $895 AUD if you pay using Paypal. That still saves about $250 compared to buying here. Shipping took about a week.

What is the car seat adaptor? Because the double is $750 at my local Baby Bunting which I baulked at paying.

Just for another perspective OP, I didn't get a double when DS2 came along (DS1 was 2y3m). I either babywear DS2 (now 7m) and have DS1 in the pram (for a long walk), or for short trips/ shops have DS2 in the pram and DS1 walks.

I have a mountain buggy terrain and love it and really didn't want to get rid of it (will eventually take up jogging again) and have had no worries with just a single pram with a baby & toddler.

WOW!!! that is an incredibly low price for the double in Australia. Online Baby Bunting list the single as $899 + $249 for the second seat. I'd grab that deal.

The car seat adaptor is so you can use a car capsule on the pram. But it is only for a few different capsules. I have the SnS Unity.
