    Default Chrisco? Hamper King?

Has anyone ordered Chrisco or Hamper King before? What was your experience? Did you feel it was good value for money?

My MIL used to get crisco for SIL and DH but in the end I pointed out that I didn't think it was worth it. You spend heaps on this big thing of food half of which you would never normally buy anyway. SIL used to chose which type they got so there may be better choices then what we had. Half the stuff I'd have to throw out because it would expire.

I did Chrisco a few years ago, just a food/bevy hamper, and honestly thought it was a bit of a waste. We ended up with a bunch of stuff that just went to waste. The next year I used an online bank account with ING and just deposited the same amount and bought what we actually eat.

I have looked at them and the idea of paying stuff off over the year really does appeal but ultimately they have a lot of stuff in them that I would never buy so I won't be getting one. Things like breakfast cereals that we don't eat and cheezles etc are just expensive dead weight to me. My local IGA has a christmas club which I might join next year.

That's what I was thinking! I love the idea of having ticking away and being paid for through the year, but don't think we'd use a lot of the foods they include :/ ie 2 minute noodles, frozen chips etc.
Good idea just putting the money away into a bank account anyway.
