The difference this time is no hung parliament.

Do you understand what it takes to form minority government?

What annoys me is Scott Morrison only holds his weekly press conference from Sydney, where he can hide from national press club.

Exactly, she had to do things that she might not have wanted to get the support of the independents.

Yeah, the whole thing is shocking. I don't know about you guys but I really thought that just because he said he was going to stop the boats that it would really happen, I thought he would somehow stop all the different crisis going on in the world and our borders would be safe from *gasp* refugees. Boy, how wrong was I?

Yes I do, thanks for asking. I live in ACT and in the previous territory election ACT got bent over by a hung election & then it was quickly followed up by a hung federal election. I know there are something's that parties need to compromise on to get in.

I work in a federal department & it's not a nice workplace when this does happen & policies are formed very quickly but that's a different thread. I think in all instances regardless if who gets in power you need at least 12 months to see any real changes. Unless you are in the APS, it's all happening very quickly......

So long as there is poverty, religion, tribalism and massive inequalities of wealth distribution there will be refugees and asylum seekers. I'm afraid not even Abbott can bring a new world order of world peace, love and harmony.
The public is that stupid...they voted him in.

I'm in the APS, I hear you. I'm on leave at the moment. But the changes in the Dept I work for are just huge.
