    Default Home made Christmas ideas

This year to save a bit of money I've decided to make most, if not all of the presents for Christmas. DS is 9 and so far we've thought about making him a doona cover and pillow cases with the Zelda bird thing-a-majig and an out fit. I'm hope someone has got some other ideas to offer.

Every time I try to make something myself it ends up costing twice as much as the same thing manufactured in Asia. I'm not sure I'm talented enough that it looks better either! Sorry, I'm no help on this one.

Hehe I'm a seamstress so I've got no doubt I can pull off what I'm wanting to make. I can't find the doona cover I want anywhere so that's a big reason I've chosen to make thay and DS is a size 9 in length but a size 4 around the waist so buying his clothes is Target for the cheapest stuff and I can make it cheaper than that most of the time.

Some curtains to match? My ds loves sleeping in boxer shorts so maybe them. My ds also loves all the marvel superhero costumes and tmnt. Mil is making him a shell for his back and a Micheal Anglo costume. I wish I could sew, id go nuts with baby and little girl clothes.

There is a blind in his room so curtains are out unfortunately. Like the idea of the boxers though. I love making little girls things.....if only I had a legitimate reason to make them lol.

A library bag, pencil case, backpack set with his favorite game character embroidered on it.

A pillow/cushion thing for his room.

Awesome idea. We've been thinking of getting beanbags.

I have been meaning to make him a messenger bag and actually started a mario one ages ago and it was another of my unfinished projects. Maybe I can actually finish one for him.
