Default Squeaking noise when 3 year old talks

My 3 year old DD has started to make this sort of *squeaking* sound when she's speaking. The sound can also be described as like a floorboard creaking/ door creaking. It's really weird! She doesn't seem to have any control over it and doesn't even seem to notice she's doing it. It only happens when she's talking.

It happens often but not every time she talks.

This has been going on for 5 days now and honestly its starting to freak me out a bit! Google has been no help.

    Anyone ever come across this?

Does it happen when she breathes deeply in/out or only when she talks? What about if she sings?

Might be worth investigating cleft palette?

Eta just saw that it started recently. There's nothing stuck in the throat is there?

    Thanks for the replies

I can hear it when she's singing too. But I can't hear anything when she's not talking/ singing/ yelling.

I wondered if something was stuck in her throat but I'm with her all the time and I don't remember her choking or struggling with anything. It's just so weird because other than the 'squeaking' she is just her normal self.

Think I will take her to the GP
