Take the dog to a vet and get it euthanised. Don't speak crap about not being able to afford it. Find the money and you or your kids go without something for a week, do whatever it is not very espensive. Our dog was actually free to put down (at 15 yrs old) because we have a kind hearted vet. Anyhow regardless of the cost you got the dog, so you now need to deal with the issue in a humane way.

There really is no need to be so rude to the poor OP, she's quite clearly had a rough morning and is also going through a relationship breakdown. Take it easy.

Seriously you can go jump it is very expensive when u don't have any money ATM I dont have the bloody money I've just split with my DP I'm not getting any parenting yet & my ftb has had to last us the fortnight we are already living on nothing after paying our rent for the fortnight so there isn't anything left to go without unless we go without food & pretty sure that's essential

Have you got anybody who can pick him up and take him to a shelter/vet on your behalf? I'd really try to seek a vet/shelter who can take him off your hands with very little cost or effort. This is the last thing you need right now. Perhaps even try putting him on gumtree and see if there's anyone who is after a pet who can come and get him (but still explain re no children or pets).

Sorry to hear about you and your DP, and sorry you're going through this.
Thanks I've contacted them they can't take him ATM they don't have a foster home available for him. I called the ranger back & said I want to surrender him they're coming to get him & will try to rehome him through their fb page & website

What a horrible situation OP. I would be opting for the RSPCA or other shelter. What a hard thing for you to have seen/gone through during an already tough time.

Not the time to be freakin rude to the op she is obviously a mess and devastated! She came here for advice and now that she has it she knows what she needs to do. She said shooting is what she grew up with and she wasn't aware of no kill shelters in her area. You might not have known that when you posted but not being rude to the op in a very distressing situation would have been a better option.

Not to mention she was clearly upset when writing her op and wasn't thinking straight. Just because she cant afford a bill for putting the dog down right now doesn't mean she shouldn't ever have pets. Ever heard of circumstances changing? You can go from having plenty of money to living off the bone of your *** in a second. Some people really need to give benefit of the doubt before rudely judging somebody.

    Anyway!

Op I dont agree with shooting and Im glad you came here for advice. You have been given some good advice by quite a few people so hopefully it can be sorted fairly fast. Im sorry this happened how devastating

Oh ok so somebody who is already living off nothing should take food out of the mouths of her family? Pretty sure the op is going through some serious financial hardship so where do you get off telling her she has money and she needs to go without? So what do her and her kids go without.. food? Not everybody is lucky enough to have savings and there are people out there living from pay to pay. Great to hear you got a freebie but my friends and family having to put down their pets have always had to pay.
