    Default How much does it cost to see a GP

    I've got a bad sore throat. I've tried everything for two days so tomorrow I need to see a doctor.
    I've just moved to the area and the two drs near my house don't bulk bill.
    I'm wondering how much does to cost to see a gp?
    Do you get much back from Medicare?

    Out of pocket is usually between $15-20. I know for a double appointment I pay $88 and get $70.30 back.

    all depends whether you have a heAlth care card of some form. I pay around $70 but only get back a little over $30 as i have no health care card.

    Ours cost $85 and got $35.60 (or something like that) back. It's bloody expensive for 3 mins. I really try to avoid going if I can.

    None of the doctors in our rural town bulk bill, so it starts at $68 for a standard consult. Needless to say i seek the advice of our super friendly pharmacist unless its something we need a script for.

    It's $25 out of pocket for us. I think $61.30 with a $36.30 rebate?
