Hey ladies, I'm 15wks today and had my GCT this morning. I was cheeky and took the blood sugar testing kit that I had to use last pregnancy and tested myself when I got out - it was 10.6 and supposed to be less than 8. Looks like GD again for me!

If it was in normal range is say it's ok either way. Try adding a few more carbs and see how you go. As long as it's under the level its day it's ok (I'm no expert).

Cairnsmummy sorry to hear that. Fingers crossed its a false positive and you pass the GTT. . Or will they just add you to the GD list?

Afm: 37wks tomorrow. My levels are still rising. Even after the jump from 35units lantus to 45units at night my fasting levels are all over. My breakfast has been too, as well as dinner. So im guessing they will put my on insulin for dinner too.

Maximum of 13 days to go. Dp gets home tonight. Fingers crossed he can get things started on the labour front for me.

    How is everyone

Afm, ctg and diab/anc today. Met the b!tchiest middy. Ugh, cairnsmummy, have you found them snarky at the cbh?
Makes me want to hide at home and have baby instead.

All looks good..have to organise.my 38wk scan. In other news my cervix is really low and soft and ive lost some plug so fingers crossed its not long now.

My lantus was increased so now I'm on 22-10-0-55, I wonder if that we'll make a difference. I also got the "why are you inducing at 38+6 instead of 38wks exactly?" Pfft, read my file in not explaining myself again.

They kept asking me the same thing. I asked them for 38 + 6 they agreed but you have to keep explaining yourself. Its crazy. Even when bubs was born I had middys and dr on rounds saying things like your reason for an elective c was? Ummm you told me to have one?

I've literally met a different person each time. They read my file and ask me the same questions about why I'm leaving it late, then they ask about my previous tears ect. It's getting annoying. I much prefer my local hospital.

Hey IndigoJ, I think there were a couple of odd ones - my main memory is of the junior doctor who told me DD had stopped growing and could come from 32 wks - I was 31 at the time!! She then wondered why I was crying?? There was a lovely middy called Nerissa who ran the monitoring room who I dealt with from then on. I failed the GCT and had to do the GTT on Thurs. Got the results and I passed yay! Still need to watch what I eat though as I have to have another GTT at 28wks. Not long to go for you now

Great news on the GTT! I'll definitely keep my fingers crossed for you!

I've only met the one middie so far. I'm going in again on Wednesday so I'm sure I'll see a different one. I get my first s&s on that day (I'll be 38wks) crossing everything it works to get my body ready for induction..

I've given up trying to get her out. My two bubs were both over a week overdue, I'm dreaming if I think she will randomly be two weeks early. So I have 10days to go

My schedule for the next week or so:
Monday: ctg at my local hospital
Wednesday: anc, diab, s&s, and ctg at the big hospital.
Thursday: growth scan at my local hospital
Friday: s&s,and ctg at my local hospital
Monday: s&s, and ctg at my local hospital
    Tuesday: have a baby!!

Diabetes wise, 8.9 after breakfast..that was interesting.
Levels are basically stable during the day but fasting is always over, as usual, even after 55 units of insulin.

What do I do if I have a vomiting bug and can't eat? Will my levels stay stable or am I at risk of hypo do you think?
